I have always loved bikes.  To some they are tools, to others they are a working piece of art.

 

More often than not bicycles are neglected.  Maybe they are put in the back of a garage and forgotten, or left out in the elements to slowly rust.  To take something that was destined for the dump and bring it back to its former glory makes me feel great.  

 

Any bike can be painted, but to properly restore a bike from

the “golden age” of cycling (1930s to 1980s) takes time and patience, stripping it down to the last screw, polishing the rust off the components and finally applying period correct paint and decals.

 

Once it is finished, the bike will look as if it just rolled off the assembly line.
